I’ve always been drawn to beautiful things—a thoughtfully set table, a charming bakery, a cozy restaurant, and a meal shared with people I love.
Long before I knew how to bake sourdough, I found joy in cooking, creating, and making everyday moments feel a little more special.
Creativity Has Always Been Part of the Recipe
Before Flour Girls Kitchen, I spent years working as a beauty and fashion copywriter, telling stories and bringing brands to life through words. Later, I co-owned a children’s clothing boutique with one of my closest friends for seven wonderful years, where I learned so much about entrepreneurship, community, and creating memorable experiences for customers.
Creativity has always been at the center of everything I do, and these days I’ve simply traded campaigns and retail displays for flour-dusted countertops and recipe testing.
The Loaf That Changed Everything
But once I mastered the art of sourdough, everything changed. It gave me confidence in the kitchen, taught me patience, and reminded me to trust the process.
What started as a hobby quickly became a passion that opened the door to endless creativity—from testing recipes and baking bread to teaching sourdough classes and hosting gatherings for friends and family.
When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me with my husband, who I’ve known since high school and who remains my forever taste tester (sometimes begrudgingly), and our two kids, who are always nearby for the fun, the mess, and, of course, the baked goods.
At the heart of it all is my love for bringing people together. Give me fresh, locally grown ingredients, a bottle of good wine, meaningful conversation, and a table full of food, and I’m in my happy place.
